Congressman Rob Wittman Visits 6/3 Network-Stafford
Congressman Rob Wittman visited the 6/3 Network-Stafford on October 15, 2010. The event was part of the very successful Business Helping Business series of seminars which the 6/3 Network-Stafford host monthly at the County Fare Restaurant. Please visit our Business Helping Business page for more information on the series.
Congressman Wittman was more than gracious with his time and spent almost 2 hours with the group. He gave a 20 minute speech where he touched on several issues concerning small business including the stimulus package, TARP, health care reform and taxes. He was informative, candid and sympathetic to the fears and obstacles that small business owners face everyday.
After his speech, the Congressman fielde questions from the crowd for more than thirty minutes. There were no softballs here. The Congressman was asked hard questions from beleagured business owners trying to navigate and plan for the future. All of which he answered clearly and candidly. We all came away fromt he meeting with a better sense of what is happening and why.
The Congressman then sat through a standard 6/3 Network-Stafford meeting to get a sense of what we do and how we help eachother and the community around us. Afterwards he spent over a half hour mingling and networking with the over forty business owners in attendance.
Simply put, Washington needs more people like Congressman Wittman.
